Start the tour of Lisbon with the Belém quarter, known for several beautiful and historical monuments from the 15th and 16th centuries. Stop at the UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site Belém Tower, the point of departure of some of the Portuguese maritime explorations. See the Monument to the Discoveries, built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the “death” of Prince Henry the Navigator. Then head to the church of S. Jerome Monastery and the National Coach Museum, one of the most important collection of old carriages in the world.

Walk along the river and stop in the Alfama neighborhood, the oldest district in Libson. Explore its narrow streets and visit an handicraft shop to sample an aperitif of Port wine. Then head downtown to admire the most important squares of Lisbon such as the monumental Trade Square, Rossio Square, and the symbolic Restauradores Square. Drive along the famous Liberdade Avenue to Marquês de Pombal Square and find the statue of the 18th-century Portuguese statesman responsible for reconstruction after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.

After a morning of exploring the city, cross the 25 of April bridge and stop in Sesimbra, a small village known for its beaches and fish restaurants. Then continue on to Azeitão, home to one of the oldest and most important wine cellars in Portugal. Enjoy a tasting of traditional Moscatel of Setúbal and take in the panoramic views of the Arrábida Mountain Range. Stop in Setúbal to explore its city center before returning to Lisbon via the Vasco da Gama bridge.
