This amazing full-day tour takes you 130 kms away from Lisbon to visit one historic and cultural treasure of Portugal, the city of Évora. On the way we'll get a flavour of the peculiar ambiance of the Alentejo region.

Évora is the capital of the Upper Alentejo, a very old city surrounded by crenellated walls, where are still alive the remains of the Roman presence, the Arab culture and the Portuguese history along the last 900 years. Used as royal residence for long periods, Évora keeps the glamour of the best and aristocratic architecture of the 16th and 17th centuries. Tens of monuments can be explored and discovered inside the ancient medieval city, featured with twisted alleyways ripped in the urban mesh of whitewashed houses with ocher painted strips.
Known as the Portuguese Museum City, Évora was classified as World Heritage Site in the year of 1986.

This tour takes you in a relaxed way to the discovery of Évora and its historic monumental heritage.

We will also have a look to the surroundings of Évora where you'll admire the plains of Alentejo, the rustic landscape of cork oak tree forests and the town of Arraiolos, the capital of the Portuguese embroidered rugs.

Throughout this tour we will let you learn many things about Évora, Arraiolos and the Alentejo Region.
